Our vacation cabin has a great lakeview and is very close to the small town of Kirkjubæjarklaustur. The cabin is cozy with three bedrooms and has everything you might need for your vacation stay in South Iceland. This is the perfect base for visiting the South Coast of Iceland, with short driving distance to Fjarðárgljúfur, Skaftafell National Park and the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon.

The cabin is located 2 km from the village of Kirkjubæjarklaustur and 260 km from Reykjavik. It's close to the main road and is easily accessible all year, although we do recommend a 4x4 during the winter as Icelandic weather conditions can be unpredictable. The road from Reykjavik to our cabin is a easy drive and has the speed limit of 90 km per hour. It takes around 3 hours to drive from Reykjavík but with all the sightseeing attractions on the way, we recommend allowing more time to get there.
